How are rockets able to move in the vacuum of space?

Class: Class 8 Subject: Space Science Topic: space

Rockets work on Newton’s Third Law of Motion: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. They expel hot gases at high speed through their engines, and in reaction, the rocket moves forward. This works even in the vacuum of space, where there is no air.
